I ride several roads very frequently. Over time I've developed a fondness for certain corners. There are some that I absolutely adore. I get a little disappointed when I can't go through a particular corner if there's traffic impeding my flow. Anyone have a favorite corner(s)?

I have a few on Pagemill. One particular set of switch backs going east lights up a smile on me!

I hear you on Pagemill. Some of my favorites are along there also. There's a fun little section just as you hit the tighter twisty stuff headed east on Sonora Pass.

Mt Hamilton, coming down a bit before the Smith Creek Fire Station there is a set of three, flip flip flip.
Yeah.
and another set coming up after Grand View, before Vineyard Heights. a set of nine.
Sweet!

49 has some good stuff for sure. bobl schooled us on how to properly ride them.

There is a set on Merced falls road, a left right left (if you're coming from
Snelling) ,marked 35mph. The first in the set is an easy 70/75, and the other two are opening corners good for 80 in the middle, and an 85 on the exit. Excellent for scaring the shit out of your friends.

The off ramp from 80 West to Grand Ave. Before the maze and after the carpool bypass for the toll plaza. Its a flyover sweeping left hander with good banking and excellent visibility. It was my one moment of joy in the daily commute to the Oakland Seaport.

Nowadays though, I try to avoid having favorite corners. I'm afraid I'll be expecting a preconceived set of conditions and be too deep with my right hand to react properly if things are sideways.

It feels like anticipating complacency.

I do but now I have to really think about which ones are my very favorites.

Although, going West on 36, while still in the valley, there is a right hand sweeper, that falls off at the exit.
A loaded ZX-9 loaded for a weekend trip can still catch air while leaned over 😉
