Well it still has to do with taking over rackets and what not by intimidation. But after you take it over, the rival family actively tries to take those rackets back. So you have the option to manage guards there to fight for your business. Little things like that make the came kinda fun.
The best thing about it is instead of you just being the Don and whooping the shit outta people. You get to actually build your family. You choose who joins your family (Safecrackers, Demolitions, Fighter, Medic, Thief). Each person has different qualities and you get to upgrade everyones skills individually. You also choose your "Captains, Consigleiri, etc.." I've only put like 3 hours into it, but my girl gets pissed when I play it so I know this game has potential

Godfather II is pretty baller. Lots of depth.
I still gotta finish up RE5, been playing lots of Fallout 3 waiting on last expansion.
