what's your favorite 1000cc sport bike..and why?

My sleeper S'hawk. Amazing what pro-grade suspension and Moriwaki pistons/cams can do for a snoozer of a bike.

+1. With suspension and brake upgrades it is a very fun bike in the curvy stuff. I love mine.

S1000RR: Baddest liter bike to every be produced, soon to be Bike of the Year.

+1 for the RC51, I like the R1 and Im a die hard Yamaha fan but gotta give it to the RC51, love the torque

I haven't ridden any liter bikes, but I saw one of these today and for some reason I really liked it's quirky styling. BMW K1

if we are saying a true liter bike, then a NON BROKEN Aprilia RSV4, then a BLACK triple 9 S.... ooooo, so sexy in black and white...

For me, my R1. Excellent on the street and track. My rear sets, the rear brake and gear shifter are ground down. It seems to stick to the road. Awesome piece of machinery. The 1098 is good but I like the inline four. Torque is cool but I like the power of the r1.:ride

My K1200R. 80 lb-ft torque, 2.63 0-60, 11K redline, 167 bhp.... :laughing

Want to get the S1KRR, and Jason's Duc 900... :twofinger

Hmmmmm....... I've owned the following:

2001 FZ-1
2000.5 RSV Mille R
2003 Tuono
2007 Tuono Factory
2006 Sprint ST 1050

Honestly, the best sounding was the Mille. The best bike has been (by far) the 2007 Tuono.

Best liter bike? I did a track day with the S1000RR and it was very, very nice.

If considering price, probably the CBR1000RR. If looking for the best liter bike, my vote would go for the MV Augusta F4 312

Rode the

Desmo at Willow Springs
New R1 at Silverstone
GSXR at Dubai and Phakisa in South Africa
ZX10 all over tracks in the US
BMW at Palm Beach, Sears and Willow Springs

...and the winner is: S1000RR
2nd-GSXR (well balanced, neutral handling)
3rd-R1 (close third, killer mid range)
4th-ZX10 (great motor, weak in the handling dept)

Desmo falls outside the ranking. It was not set up at all for my weight and riding style. Amazing motor, brakes, comfy, but setup was so far off for me that I could not give it a fair review.

(disregard this post, 100% biased)
