Just my
on the sex vs violence.
We, as Americans are MUCH more tolerant of violence versus sex than say, Canada, Europe, etc. In those countries its the opposite. Their culture is against the display of violence, but the display of a naked man or woman, whether in or out of the act of sex is acceptable. Firearms for example are more difficult to get in Europe and Canada, versus the states, where as long as you aren't a convicted felon and have no history of mental illness can get a gun. If anything I feel this is more of a cultural problem than just a problem with BARF TOS. In order to implement cultural change, policy needs to be changed, which is how all of our societies have been for eons and eons. Yes, its had failures, but its also had some successes, we're one of the few countries with the same constitution for more than 100 years.
Granted, yes, this is a US based group with US based culture focus. I've read this entire thread and feel like the mods don't want to push for a more clearly defined set of TOS regarding violence vs sex or are in disagreement for change. I recognize there are probably a number of reasons you guys have on this, but something needs to change. We as humans are ever evolving. Yes, I'm a younger member, but I also know the history through friends regarding shit that has happened over the years. I also get that this is Budman's sandbox, but I sometimes feel like if he wants to move to a PG-13 rating, maybe its time for NSFW content to not be here. There's nothing stopping a younger member from clicking NSFW content within BARF or to link of something outside of BARF.
Food for thought also, maybe we should start adding a warning of Gorey content or Violent content in the titles for things as extreme as the beheading thread. I've only heard about the thread from others, but I'm glad I was warned about it from others so I would not click it. I'm sure this has been suggested, but I think this would at least be a start for a longer term change.
Edit: I meant not clicking the thread or trolling the thread in my last paragraph
