It's REAL, you doubting b!tches... Honda RCV1000 v4 street bike

Ummm...that is 75,000 EUR which makes it more like $100,000 US. Better start looking for that 2nd mortgage! :twofinger

Only $100k for a MotoGP spec street legal motorcycle?

Call me a doubting bitch, but I don't see any confirmation from Honda that such a thing will be released as a production bike. :x

If it is, well, cool. It's been rumored for FIFTEEN FUCKING YEARS, so it's about time.

Exactly, and when (they say not in 2014) it comes...Who is it coming for?

Not anyone in my social circle :laughing

They have to build 500 for WorldSBK EVO homologation and it has to be street legal. Of course it might end up being like the VR1000, street legal only in Uzbeckistan or somewhere... or the Petronas with most the bikes still sitting half finished in a warehouse in Malaysia ten years later.

Hey, R7s or RC45s weren't exactly cheap or dirt common either but there are people on this board that ride them.

After the oil-burning issues and such with the 2008-on CBR1000RR's...yeah, no. No more Hondas for me.

as much oil as mine burned(which was about a super tanker's worth per ride), i still lust after a blade. it was perfection for me.

My '08 blade doesn't burn oil, so I can quote myself:

"Honda lost money on the SP-1, SP-2, (RC-51). I will believe this ungodly priced machine when I see it. The only really expensive bike that they have made money on is the Gold Wing."

I can buy three or more Aprilia V4s with Ohlins for the same amount as one special Honda? Well, I know I ain't going to be three times as fast on a stupid Honda. I have proof. :laughing

IF they make it look anything like the new VFR1200 , why I'll...BARF.

I've never owned a Honda, and since they once experimented with oval cylinders, my trust in their engineering philosophy has... eroded...

:rofl

Not so much the issue itself, as Honda's extraordinary denial of the problem.

You mean since... the 70s... when they created a 4 stroke that almost was able to compete with a 2 stroke in the same displacement?

You would have to be retarded to spend more than $20,000 on a fucking motorcycle!! I'll stick to craigslist and let the silver spoon crew take the lose.
