I saw this story, and my reaction is different than the intended audience.

I'm thinking, no gear=bad road rash. Then I was thinking she wasn't riding, she was being taken for a ride. Then I consider the reality of this photo, staged and posed, and I realized this isn't like a real ride sans gear, but a photo op for an attention whore.

This woman has lived an amazing life, worthy of publication. But if sitting on the back of a bike for a picture is the pinnacle, it seems lame.

I'm not sure I understand the story other than a woman that's lived life with the challenges that most people at some point face...

If she gets her thrills by riding naked...OK good for her.

Pretty sure there's a naked ride in Santa Cruz that a lot of barfers go on.

The Internet is full of women riding motorcycles either naked or half naked etc. what's the big deal?
 
On a serious note, both Mrs. and I have done things others might consider questionable and/or dangerous to mark milestones. Doesn't mean that we (or she) do them every day.

I've ridden naked (once). Do I do it every day? No. Circumstance made it comfortable.

I did miss a good "Squid Catch of the Day" this week though. Couple riding 2 up on HWY 85 in rush hour. Her with short shorts on. Which always look nice before the blood. :|

We all factor how others view us when we make decisions about what to do, what to say, and how to act, rather than basing our decisions on pure pragmatic practicality. If we didn't, we'd all ride V-Stroms. :x

shes a blogger and podcaster. she gets paid to be an attention whore. nothin wrong w/ that.

i could def see a lot of people thinking that riding on a moto, naked or not, would be thrilling enough to be a highlight of their life. most everyone i know doesnt ride and isnt nearly as accepting of risk as i am. its my thing and commonplace for me. but not for them.
 
She named her daughter Alabama. :laughing

What's hilarious is assuming that riding 2up is some kind of accomplishment. Maybe if you're 90, lol.
