Post documentaries you've recently enjoyed here.

This one currently on Netflix is absolutely fascinating if you like art and history. This guy was a "lost" genius who's art is hardly "normal" and he referred to Picasso as Picasshole.

His sculptures were amazing.

Netflix’s steaming algorithm really wants me to watch this ... will give it a try!

just rented this 2014 doc about Sebastião Salgado by Wim Wenders and enjoyed it:

I've been watching Abstract: The Art of Design series on Netflix about creativity and designers in different fields. Watched five episodes so far and two were good (illustrator, architect) one was OK (Nike shoe designer) and two were weak (set designer, automotive designer). Fingers crossed the final three episodes are good.

I watch lots of documentaries. Two come to mind after having toured Peru in November. They're both included on Amazon Prime. I'd watch them in this order. The second one is an extension and counterpoint to the first one...

Wow, some great suggestions.

Thanks.

I caught "Godfather and Son" the other night, not sure it is On Demand though.

Another fascinating tale told by Gotti Jr. who's speech and mannerisms are identical to my friend who now lives in Miami.

I told him I think he's actually a Gotti in Witness Protection!

He insists he's Irish.

Yeah right!

Three Identical Strangers. Free Solo.

Both were awesome, though very different.

Burt, the documentarian, also grew up here in the Bay Area and was racing against time to interview the surviving Nisei veterans of WWII in the European theatre. I loved how captured German POWs lost their minds when Japanese-American troops trolled them by saying they were Axis soldiers and Japan had switched sides.
