WTB Snorkel/Fins cheap

Looking for a few sets of snorkel/fins to take on vacation to hawaii. They need to be cheap enough so I don't worry about leaving them there if I don't have room to bring them home.
What you got?

Don't have any, but there are tons of places to rent that stuff while you're there.

I know, but week rental of gear is $50-60. I already found some nicer used kits for $20 each and I don't have to go through the process of renting and returning.

Snorkel Bob's sucks. Boss Frog's rules.

Edit: Seriously though, we did a weekly rental and it included a 4 hr. trip snorkel trip. This was on Maui. Booked online. Pick up and drop off takes all of 5 min.

I had multiple good snorkle/fin sets and finally gave them away a few years ago because it wasn't worth the hassle of hauling them to Hawaii or Mexico for a trip. I'll be going to Maui in September and will rent from Boss Frog's.

It's nice to have a set that you know fits right, but those things take up space in the luggage.

I get what your trying to do, because I attempted it once. But what's your remedy if your cheap set doesn't fit quite right, has a crack/strap/sealing problem, you have to supply your own anti-fog, fins feel ok at first, but after paddling for a few minutes your feet hurt, etc.? Just things to think about- along with how much time you actually think you'll be snorkeling. People often think they'll be snorkeling for a lot longer than they actually do.

Wal mart is a good bet especially if there is one where you’re going. One near the airport in Kauai.

Willing to take the risk. We did the whole rental thing before and I found it was annoying to do only a single day between the pickup and drop off and multiple days is kinda expensive when you figure its going to be for three people. I think we rented at Snorkel Bobs before.
