Bittersweet.

Vale next year, partially due to drama in the Repsol Honda garage.

I'm so curious for next year. Vale, Morbidelli, and Bagnaia in the same series on competitive machines.
Then you have Petrux, Dovi, and Iannone rounding out the Italian mafia.
It'll be Italy vs Spain every weekend. If the Italian mafia can rally and beat WinOrBin up the title chase will be more interesting.

Your list of Italian names just highlights why the title chase prob won’t be more interesting. If all the Italians split the wins, but MM comes in 2nd every time, the points battle will be worse than this year. I think we’d all be happier w the races, but ya. We really need just one of them to step up and beat MM regularly. And that’s a huge ask for Dovi, let alone the rest. Maybe Jorge, hmm...

Well that was just the Italians. WinOrBin will also have his hands full with Rins, Maverick, and Jorge. If one person can't take him straight up then let it be a whole gang of them to bring balance to the force.

Maybe in 2019 the title gets decided by a lower overall points count and a smaller points margin. That would make for a good season.

Dovi can't win without a cheater tank. Let's put that to bed.

Yamaha could figure it all out next year. Which means Vinales could be there and the only Italian who has a chance is still Rossi. Let's put that to bed too.

Suzuki is close to figuring it all out. I don't think Rins is cutthroat enough to take them to MM93's edge though.

All you daydreamers are cute...

Dovi without cheater fuel isn’t going to be taking wins from MM, unless Ducati finds a new rule to break. Flossi will be the 3rd or 4th best rider on the grid, but not good enough. Lorenzo will take a while to adjust to the Honda. Mav is still trying to untangle his brain and if they fix the Yamaha he will probably be faster than Rossi.

And for all these reasons, mah boi Tito will take his final form and rattle off 18 straight winz for the 2019 championship!
