I made a run to the 17 mile lookout on Saturday. Looks like they had just re-opened the road. Quite a few forest service and state park vehicles on the road. Nothing burned that I could see, but it was fairly smoky. Road is is decent shape, many of the problem areas from a couple of years ago have been repaired.

Mosquito Ridge/Eleven Pines has some amazing sections but also some seriously gnarly DEEP potholes and unexpected gravel pits that spring up out of nowhere. If you want to keep it paved, wentworth springs/icehouse/down to 50 is pretty much as good as it gets.
