Hi Guys. New to the site but very savvy with forums. I just started creating rides on Google maps BUT it seems kinda cheap and kinda hard. Is this the best way to plan routes and send to iphone for NAV? Save trips and so on?

Hollister to Coalinga and back with a couple of dead end roads thrown in for fun, Parkfield/Coalinga Rd; Mineral Springs Rd; and Priest Valley Rd if you choose... 230 miles mol...

This is very good idea to share good route here, I wish it can be continued to keep doing it. The below route not recommand for newbie since it is very twisty all the way and bumpy, there is a section about 2miles with unpave road.

Be aware that damage from the 2016-17 rainy winter has closed some of our favorite roads in the hills around the bay (35, Redwood Rd, Palomares Rd, Calaveras Rd, etc.). You should check these routes before riding them. You can find the closures by trying to copy the routes on Google yourself; it will not let you map a closed road. You can also search for the road name and "closure".

The GPS Visualiser website can generate a GPX file from Google maps.

This is a ride I am planning for a two week trip. Ideally, I would bring a few people to make the trip with. It is still in the planning stages so play nice.
