Question So what is happening with James Cornell??

I checked in on the dawgpound website and the link to information on James Cornell is no longer working. Does anyone know what is going on with James?

His "my space page" says he has not logged in since March 2007

So he is still in the same place and in the same physical/mental state?

Has anyone gone and seen him?

James Cornell
He was a side-car racer who was in a very bad accident at the Isle of Man Race a couple years ago. He was in a coma for a long time and was transported back to the bay area after a couple years but had brain damage from the accident.

I was thinking about him and wondering if anybody knew, reminded by the Hollis Hawthorne thread.

James is a good guy that got hurt really bad while chasing a dream.

I am glad he has not dropped from thoughts.. and I hope he is OK and would love to find out more..

The emotions and support came on strong when this first happened and with time folks like James slip from our everyday thoughts and are left to fight their own battle except for a few close friends who may stick with the man throughout the fight to recoup.

I have seen it many times.. and felt the pain of not being able to really do much.. other than send a good thought their way.

Very sad on many levels..

We've never forgot about James.

He's in my thoughts every day.

He's in my thoughts every time I walk into the garage and look at my own Becker F1 sitting on the stands.

And he's in my thoughts every time I slide into the cockpit to roll out on the track, very aware that there is a lot of trust between myself and my co-driver on the back of the Becker.

James is and always will be my friend. And I know just because he had a bad accident racing that left him in a permanently disabled state, he wouldn't want me to give up something that he loved doing, and continues to drive my passion.

They were recently working with flash cards with James in mental rehabilitation, images and such. The therapist flashed up a picture of a Kawasaki (Ninja) and asked James, "Do you know what this is?"

James responded, "It's good for parts..."

If you know James, you know why that is fucking hilarious.

I don't know James but I've been following his story since it happened. This made me honestly laugh out loud. Thanks for the update.
