The reason I am doing the podcasts is for this very reason....way too much to type out and hearing it totally changes the context. See if you can find a way to listen!

ooookay. Even the topic of the podcast would have been enough to whet my interest. Otherwise, it's just a link on the website.

If you click on the link, it takes you to the podcast where there is a brief description.

Same here. I usually listen to each one a couple times. I have already improved my confidence through turns on the street and catch myself practicing my brake application 1-5% and 5%-1 randomly throughout the day

What do you guys think about using intercoms for training purposes at the track?

Instructor following rider can give them real time feedback focusing on one turn at a time.

Sounds like a good idea but I'm wondering if it's too distracting?

I have used them and for 99.9% of all riders I have worked with, they are a waste. Very much too distracting. Video review continues to be the best source for rider critique that I use.

Example - At our Rick Development Camp at Chuckwalla this Winter, Valentine Debise at first thought video was too old school, by the second day, he was asking for his videos to take home at night and study. Same with JD Beach...

Thanks for the response Ken, I appreciate it.

I was thinking the same thing, that they may be too distracting. A couple friends tried it out at THill West and the instructee lowsided T1 on lap 2...withholding names

I am looking forward to some coaching from Rickdiculous racing next year

So old school. I want a live video feed, in a helmet heads up display, of the follow video so I can watch myself riding while I'm riding.

That was our experience too. They didn't even work well for off-track exercises in the paddock, let alone on track.

Back in the last milleneum, when Miguel Duhamel was competing in AMA Superbike, his team experimented with an intercom from pit to rider. A few laps into the race Migel ripped his out and threw it away.
