It'd be easier with a rotary bike. I mean, at least then it'd already be a Wankel. Easy to change one letter.

You’re very kind John, I guess you’ve forgiven me for pulling over to wait on the best curvy asphalt we rode in Vietnam?

And to think my riding buddies call me cheeseburger. I heard tales of you long before we ever met.

Apologies for my slow reply but I felt a need to improve my verbosity.
The WERA Endurance Series ran primarily East of the Mississippi from 1979 through the early ‘80s. There were some races this side of Tom Sawyer’s hometown.
The first time I saw a motorcycle race, and thought I could go faster than last place, was the city of My Ding-a-Ling’s transition. It was the sight of our first race and numerous practice sessions.
The farthest west for us was a 6 hour named after my favorite tree. I’m not sure if it was a WERA race or just a cool trendy race with a Honda 400f as a former winner. We started racing on a similar bike with a 750 front end and a gentleman name of Kaz Yoshima’s 458 kit and stock bored out carburetors, who knew that was a thing.
The location of my purported 162 mph was a 2 mile super speedway oval near an A&M. I calculated carefully that accelerating onto one end of the oval on our first generation hopped up GSXR 1100 would get damn exciting down the straightaway before an Indianapolis like turn 1.
Also the site of my first and best concussion.
