I didn't see anybody mention Oatman, AZ on Route 66.

Or has everybody already been there?

Organ Pipe has 2 scenic routes: Ajo Mountain Drive and Puerto Blanco Drive, both unpaved but usually graded for a passenger car. Not sure what is open/closed due to illegal border crossings though.

I have been there several times before. I stay in an RV Park (Twin Peaks) and from there I take my Zero DS 6.5. I charge it up from my RV Gasoline Generator.

I have done much of the northern part of Puerto Blanco Drive on my Zero DS, but I have not been to the southern part. This next time, I will visit Quitobaquito Springs.

I have also done a little of Ajo Mountain Drive on my Zero.

I have NOT done the complete loop on either.

I do mostly hiking in the park.

I have never seen any of the areas closed, but I know it was closed for a while around 12 or so years ago. I only see the many signs that there could be illegal activity and if anything is noticed call 9-1-1.

Your days are a little longer than what I would prefer, especially with less daylight that you'll have in December. It doesn't leave you much time to look around the national parks, except Death Valley, that you've given a whole day to.

Other than that, looks good.

Make sure to get gas once in AZ. There are not many gas stations along I10 from CA to Phoenix. Less if you go east from 29 palms.

Saguaro NP east side has a short loop drive, I would go up Mt Lemmon. And I10 is extremely boring, although I did not look into your detail maps here on the phone.

It sure can rain hard here in November. It's been raining all last night until tonight. Flooding all over. However, by this weekend it should be above 70F and sunny and clear.

I will still be in AZ in December, but not here in Payson. I should be in Tucson in a couple weeks or so. But I am staying for a month here in Payson.
