I think people have such a bad thought of sport bike riders because those are the people that usually tend to piss us off on the road and we fly past them. I am for the most part a very safe rider, but there is that occasional (more like daily) person who tends to do something completely RETARDED to where I don't want to be riding next to, behind, or even remotely close to them.... and for that reason I'll probably get labeled a "stupid motorcycle rider" by the person in their cage on their cell phone changing CD's...

I'm not kidding.
I believe it because I am one of them.

The blanket generalizations that I see most often in crash threads, where a stupid decision by the rider lead to injury or death, that Everyone has given in to the urge to open the throttle all the way or that We've all done something stupid is simply not true.

There are riders who are responsible 100% of the time.

I enjoy motorcycling, and I understand the risks associated with participating in it, but I have too much to lose, too many loved ones counting on me, to not make it home by doing something stupid.

good points.. but i get bummed when people really press the luck.. that shit just makes my mom sick and scared knowing im out there. its hard not to think of harley guys hangin it up at the ol' ok trailer co-ral at the end of the night and sport riders tryin to drag knees into every turn and so on.... just be aware that everyones actions lump us together in the publics eye.. ever had a cop say YOU people need to slow down...?

In the last several weeks I've had occasion to pull along side scooters, fully dressed hogs and even three wheel rotax powered thingies at stop lights.

Each time I've been very friendly and complimentary to their POS^H^H^Hmotor and made sure they knew I considered them to be the same family as me, riders.

It was clear that all of them really enjoyed that. Makes my day!

I ride because I enjoy the freedom of not being in a car.....

I found this group, and have met a few good people, went to several coffee meets, with a VERY diverse group of people & bikes!

Ride what you like, how you like, and when you like....BUT.....If your gonna do stupid shit...please don't do it near me....

Just my

Oh...and by the way......

Wednesday I infiltrated a scooter ride in the city. I REALLY wanted to ride with them they were full of mirth!! Like little 2 wheeled fairies.

I mean it this way "...collectively, wee folk, good folk, people of peace, and other euphemisms)[1] is the name given to a type of mythological being or legendary creature, a form of nature spirit, often described as metaphysical, supernatural or preternatural."

Is it me, or did all the "Bros" trade in their white lifted trucks for streetbikes?

Hwy 17 + a hot weekend = a lot of douchebag riders that have no respect for the mtns/2wheels.
