M1 Garands for sale

I am selling two M1 Garands. The first is a 1.97 million Springfield with a lead-dipped heel and is a LEAD rebuild (Letterkenny Army Depot), rebuilt in May 1969. The barrel is from May of 1951. The front hand guards are in very nice plus shape. The stock is in good shape overall, but has been heavily sanded. See pictures for the receiver overhang.

The muzzle wear measures 3 on my commercial gauge and the throat erosion is 3.5.

Overall this is a nice example of a WWII rifle rebuilt by the government during the Vietnam war.

I am asking $1,050 and will include a leather sling, some en bloc clips and a soft case. This must go through an FFL.

M1 Garands for sale, no. 2

The second Garand I am selling is a CMP service grade H&R (Harrington and Richardson) built during the Korean conflict. It's a 5.66 million serial number.

The stock on this is extremely pretty with some very, very nice figure to the walnut. The detail pictures showing the figure are a pretty accurate colour and tone representation of the wood. It has a well struck 1/2" DAS stamp.

The only negative to this rifle is that it did not come with the stacking swivel. If you don't have a total of 3 Garands they are useless anyway.

The barrel is H&R from July 1955 and may be the original mate to the receiver as it is period correct. The muzzle wear measures just over 2 on my commercial gauge and the throat erosion is not quite 2.5.

A leather sling, en bloc clips and a soft case will be included.

$1,150 for this one, through an FFL.

Indeed they are. If ever you want to revisit those days you are welcome to shoot one of mine, and I will provide the M2 ball ammunition (is that still legal in CA?? ).

You know how to get hold of me if your priorities change.....

I do have one more I will be posting in the near future. It is a Springfield Armory Korean conflict correct grade from the CMP, and will command a higher price. It is a beauty, and appeared to be almost new when I received it. I was unable to detect any wear or evidence of extended use on all the usual parts. The gas piston didn't even have any carbon on it. These were proof fired by the manufacturer, and when the CMP sells them they test fire them with one round.

I have shot this one but have less than 40 rounds through it (5 en-blocs).

I could tease you with pictures if you like

Your daughter has two thumbs, does she not? Let her hitchhike.

Give me a timeframe, I may wait if you are serious. I have 3 that I am about to post on the CMP forums, one of which is a CMP correct grade Springfield from the Korean conflict. It's a beauty.... I have a Harrington and Richardson CMP correct grade that I am keeping, at least for the moment. It too is a beauty. Both of these appeared hardly used when I received them.

Two M1 Carbines will be up for sale as well, one of them will be a Bavarian (Foresty or Rural Police). I'm having a tough time deciding which of two Bavarians to put up for sale. One has a Dymo label tape under the fore-end with the name "E Weber". Perhaps the last German troop it was issued to? Cool.

It feels like I'm selling my kids, even though I have just one (kid).

Anyone want to buy a kid? He's 28 and can take care of himself. Except for baking, he's just learning......

How much are you asking for the Carbine? I'm looking to get a shooter, not a collector.
