Johnny Rea got in just half a day of testing yesterday as weather continues to disrupt the scheduled winter testing for many WSBK teams.

Alex Lowes did not attend as he broke his collarbone while flat track training with several MotoGP and WSBK racers. A return date for Lowes has not been announced.

At least there is a new date for Assen rather than just labled as "postponed." Bummed the season won't start until May but I'll be glad there is a season.

WSBK schedule changes again. Estoril was scheduled to be the season opener the first weekend in May but has been postponed due to issues in Portugal with the pandemic.

Existing track Navarro in Northern Spain has been added to the calendar. Long straight and some tight corners. At first glance it doesn't seem like the best choice but you never know and it has to be better than the Lousyring.

Ducati, Yamaha and some privateer WSBK teams testing at Misano today and tomorrow. Davies had a positive test for COVID but then retested negative. However, he still has to quarantine so he is unable to attend this test. Looks like Pirro sat in for him. WSBK did not race at Misano last season so this is Gerloff's first time at the track.

Factory Kawasaki, Honda and BMW have had other private tests, with more scheduled.

All the major WSBK teams will be in Barcelona for a two-day test March 31-April 1. All have done separate tests as recently as last week but this will be the first time the Kawasaki, Yamaha, BMW and Honda factory teams will all be on track together in 2021. Gerloff's GRT team will be present as will some other private teams.

FINALLY getting back to more green!!! I personally can live without so much BLACK in the livery (I know, I know, it's easier to hide aero and other stuff in the bodywork).

Makes me misty for the old Green/Purple/White of the "classic" '90's Kawis of yore. Give me some of that Muzzy love.
