So much this.
Easily the biggest rub against that place.
I love it there but a healthy respect for the calendar is well advised, hence a Wednesday visit for me.

you guys are cracking me up... its JULY... Carnegie is empty this time of year. I've been out the past two weekends and almost no one there compared to winter time. On most trails we didn't see a single other rider.

As for quads, you need to stay off of Juniper and Los Osos trails and ride some single-track. Carnegie has some awesome black diamond trails where you'll never see any quads.

Ride on...

I know where to ride to avoid them.
My hatred comes mostly from the obligatory donuts in the lot 50 feet my open truck door.

Yep, completely agree. But lots of idiots on bikes also doing the same crap. Just kinda goes with the territory I guess.

Anyway, back on topic... not 100% confirmed, but by daughter has expressed interest in the Garrahan Off Road class on Sunday. If she commits, then I'll be at Carnegie riding on my own while she takes the class. Happy to join with others. Its a dust bowl right now, but riding is riding

I'll also be there breaking in my new top end. I'll mainly be spending my time in the parking lot waiting for the engine to cool.
