Have you contacted Indian or come here to post about it first?

I don't think the FTR1200 is in production yet. They aren't at dealers and I haven't seen any road tests of production bikes. Indian has been showing pre-production versions at shows and dealers but those bikes can't be sold or given to the public. The contest stated that the bike given away would be among the first off the production line.

I would guess that since it's not out yet they can't yet give one away. I suppose this will happen this Spring.

Lists at 518, with gas, which you will need.

A lighter 750cc version would be a winner, eh?

Well, yeah, lighterz better - so exactly how much lighter might a 3/4L Injun tracker be?

Ducati Monster 1200R also needs gas and lists at 60 pounds lighter with that gas.

A 750 would just be a sleeved-down (or otherwise altered) 1200 so I doubt there would be any weight savings. The FTR750 engine has intensive service intervals and would not likely make a satisfying street bike engine.

Indian recently trade marked the names Raven and Renegade. It will be interesting to see what becomes of that. Some speculation says a 500cc and 750cc.

I'm on the fence right now because of the service intervals. I was told by the dealer every 5k is a valve check. If that is the case I'm probably going to pass on my deposit.

If I don't want the bike I'm sure someone can take my spot. I'm guaranteed a bike on the first batch.
