For this recent Sepang test, maybe two or three cameras were at the track. The After The Flag crew was at the Dorna studio in Spain. Whoever did the rider interviews wasn't part of the regular team and the (very limited) video production was probably farmed out to some local group in Malaysia. I'm expecting the same thing for the upcoming test in Thailand. Disappointing when you consider how Dorna has raised the quality of their programing the last few years. Doesn't seem out of place to expect more from all the winter tests.

The Losail test will be like Valencia because they have to bring the whole Dorna production team for the race a few days later and Qatar pays so much to Dorna.
yeah, that makes way more sense than my hypothesis haha

pretty good interview with Herve over at Crash.net

http://www.crash.net/motogp/news/889...ch-3-interview

I find myself becoming a decently big Herve fan, despite his proclivity for mining the nose gold - or maybe in addition to his mining activities, after all...

His Motomatters interview where he talks about not poaching another rider because that's just giving someone else his problem... awesome. I hope Tech 3 can make a jump to a new manufacturer when Rossi nabs the satellite Yamahas.

oh stop, you're making me blush in a shade of ducati red

that event was pretty cool. free champange/beer/wine and ducati girls walking around serving hors d'oveurs to everyone. and that v4 when they started it up, oh man. i got a little chubbed. made me want to make terrible financial decisions.

i tried listening to the after the flag podcast and its so damn bad. they take themselves waaaay too seriously. makes me appreciate the humor of brotogp.

i just want the damn season to start again. anyone else waiting for some type of discount before renewing their video pass?

in the words of Spike Lee, i would be happy if Dorna caught a case of DO THE RIGHT THING and made video pass free for those over 60.

in this video :
https://www.motorsport.com/motogp/vi...sepang-104202/
Craig Scarborough reads the latest rule governing "wing integration" and whinges that Technical Director Danny Aldridge says that the 2018 Ducati arrangement is OK, but according to Scarborough "I personally don't agree that this design has been 'merged into the bodywork' and think it should be banned outright." what is Scarborough talking about? a Technical DIRECTOR is the person delegated to define the scope and application of the rules, so, uh, if he has some sort of issue with inherent safety issues he should say so, otherwise he should stick a sock in his cake hole.
