It might shock everyone that I was a Yamaha guy (dirt bikes) back in the early 70's. I also had a GS1100E in the late 80's after totaling my Gpz1100 (needed something to ride!)

The bike looks a lot better stripped of its 1/4 fairing and the extra trick plumbing

A bunch of the ZRX folks sold their ZRX's to buy a z900rs. Most are pretty happy w/them. The only complaint is the loss of power. A pipe & ECU flash gets them back near ZRX power. They are also much much lighter...

One thing on that build, the addition of the Zephyr tailpiece (just the right length) is what KAW should have done from the factory...

Yeah, the paint is pretty yucky...
