Dear LeBron:

Welcome to the Western Division. It's like a playoff game almost everytime! No Eastern patsies to knock around...well, maybe Sac.

Portland looked really good to me last night. I still want Lillard to come home but he is great where he is.

Uhhh... Let's use our brains a little bit, ok?

Portland is basically the same team (who made it to the playoffs and had a great season) as last year, with 11 returning players who know how to play together. Lakers? More or less brand new everything. The outcome wasn't surprising; it's going to take time before any real criticism (outside of that abysmal 3pt shooting) can be thrown at them.

Portland looked good? Their defense allowed the Lakers how many points? The Lakers who can barely shoot outside the paint and can't shoot threes at all? I can't believe Portland didn't make any changes after getting blown out in the playoffs. Nik Stauskas did look good.

That dunk sequence (JaVale-James-Lillard-James) was legendary. JaVale looked good, but I wonder if he has the stamina to be a starter.

Hey Markelle Fultz shot his first three in the Sixers' win.

I think the Lakers are (or are going to be) better than you infer. But I don't think Javale has the stamina to make it the way he was playing last night. I don't think LeBron was even using his three ability much last night, but was choosing to team build even at the expense of losing.

I think the Lakers are going to get better, but my point is LeBron is going to have to work really hard this year.

As you said, Stauskas is a great addition.

Yea he did! There was a sequence in the 2nd where I think he drained four threes in a row, to score 16 of the team's last 18.

Lakers got slayed because of the 3.

Of course the Lakers will get better. Everybody will get better. These first games showed a lot of jitters, with a lot of turnovers and missed shots. Lakers still have to gel. Celtics are gelled. Blazers are gelled. Warriors are gelled.

Celtic Raptors game today was awesome, worth watching a recording.

Jazz are Warriors Kryptonite. At the half, they can't possibly keep shooting threes like this.

Holy shit that was awesome! If you missed it, watch the second half.

Excuse me while I go shop for a #21 jersey.

The best part is that Gobert pushed him out of the way, into position for the rebound. Excellent top-down camera view:
