Jax changed owners a couple of years ago and has been going downhill IMO.

Black Bear Diner is very good..

There is a location in Hayward.

The original in Mt Shasta is still there.

Thanks for the tip, the place was awesome.
The 15 minute wait for a table was painless and less than they said it would be.
Service and food was awesome.
My Philly cheese steak omelette was da-bomb.
We will be back.
Martinez is a cool town, btw.....lots of history. (..and the birthplace of the Martini, iirc)
Glad you enjoyed it! Martinez is great. I love living here!

If its not fried food it doesn't apply. I've also been to Asian restaurants where photos helped with ordering.
Oh, at first I thought we were being a snot but then I realized, you're just being a snot.

O hell yeah. We used to ride there a couple times a month. We drive now, but it's still worth it.

Oakland has Homeroom, and some local great breakfast places, but Copper Skillet is a one off. I love that place.

I like my diners to have unidentifiable meat served under soggy toast and no vegetables on the menu other than taters. And a pube in the coffee.
