I think it would be better like the following. Even though it's longer, I think it's a little easier:

The best way to embed a YouTube! video on BARF is to

1) Click the "Go Advanced" button instead of the "Post Quick Reply" button, then
2) Hit the red YouTube! arrow,, above your post (you won't see it in the quick reply box - FYI), and then
3) Paste the video ID between the [YOUTUBE] and [/YOUTUBE].

To get the video ID, either:

A) If you're lucky, your video will have a URL that looks like this:
Code:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTfIzWnszrw
and the video ID is everything that comes after the ?v=. In this case the video ID is yTfIzWnszrw.

B) Otherwise, many YouTube! URLs have additional bits after the video ID, so there's a small challenge to extract it. If your URL has more than one = sign or includes &'s like this:
Code:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTfIzWnszrw&t=2s
then the video ID is everything between the ?v= and the first &. Here again, the video ID is yTfIzWnszrw.

Once you have the video ID, paste it in like this:
Code:
[YOUTUBE]yTfIzWnszrw[/YOUTUBE]
and you get your embedded video:

youtu.be/yTfIzWnszrw
