Anyone watch it? Honestly I was laughing through most of it and found it to be a pretty bad movie but the general public seems to love it.

When my friends told me about it I joked about the ending and was actually right. Maybe that’s why I didnt like it. My prediction was bold and totally out there yet spot on......

Please no spoilers! What did you think of it?

Well, they kind of ruin the whole story in the first few minutes if you're paying attention. It's really sloppy and really not a good movie but not offensively bad, it's Scifi channel B movie level. Since it's "free" it'll get a lot of slack.

The weird underground marketing for it (and good timing) got a lot of people to watch.

I didn't think it was bad for what it was. There were some plot holes and wtf moments for sure. What I didnt understand was: *spoiler* How did she manage to not get "infected" in the beginning when she was riding in the car with her sister?

If you want to talk about a huge disappointment, then the Godzilla anime trilogy that's on Netflix is a travesty.

For many movies these days, 'suspension of disbelief' isn't the only requirement, you also have to practice 'suspension of common sense'.

Because she looked in the backseat at the moment the thing appeared.

Yep. I can't enjoy a movie without a reason to think that somewhere, somehow, the plot *could* happen. This isn't one of those.

It was decent. A Quiet Place was far better.

Not sure what to interpret from plot and meaning of the film and how it ends. I'll have to think about that for a little.

I loved that book so I was disappointed. Outside of that it was alright. It was just weird that they threw MGK in amongst a bunch of real actors.

Pretty terrible. All sorts of plot holes or at least inconsistencies, and movies that don't make any real attempt to explain the underlying phenomenon bug me (cheap out).

What was the cause? Demons that can make wind and noises, but otherwise not touch you? DUMB!

I had two thoughts at the end:

"When is something going to happen?"
" I wonder if I have time to watch all of the 2013 Mugello MotoGP race?"

Shittier version of The Happening was my take on it. I was also one of the ones who joked around and accidentally nailed predictions. Including multiple characters as soon as they got introduced. I dunno.

The Happening was on TV a day or so after I watched the BirdBox. I didn't think Happening was better, but it's pretty much the same movie.
