Is it weird that I enjoy riding in the rain? And since traffic is worse too, as risk goes up, reward goes up, so the ratio stays balanced ha.

Today I chose not to commute because of the rain being accompanied by high winds and predicted T-storms. When I drove to the gym in the evening I saw one motorcycle riding into the neighborhood, going the other way. I think it was my BARF mod neighbor, but I couldn't see through the rain well enough to tell.

I hope I don't have to turn in my rider card.

Driving back from the gym on the freeway my windshield got nailed hard by water kicked up by a van in the next lane. Glad that didn't hit me on the bike. I guess most of us commuters have ridden flooded freeways before. Not something I really miss.

Oh hell no.
I kid, I kid.
A fucken tractor/trailer blew over on the Richmond Bridge yesterday.

...and as said earlier...that bridge can be flat-out frightening.
I don't spook easy but I think I may have dented the tank on my Bandit with my knees the last time I crossed there in a storm.

I enjoy riding in the rain and being hyper aware of control inputs. Besides, I figure the bike and I will slide if I crash in the rain, instead of tumbling.

Safety.

Makes sense right up to the part where you end up under a car.

First up, Accuweather or bust. Other than that, I also make sure to check the hourly forecast for the day to see when precipitation actually occurs.

0% actually means they have 0% of being right about their prediction.

Weather predictions. The various source tout their prediction rates but if you throw out the days when anyone can predict the weather and almost certainly be right, the prediction rates are terrible.

The weather apps just let the prediction change instantly when someone looked outside and realized it was raining when they had predicted it would not.

Sliding in the rain rather than tumbling on dry pavement is true. The problem is you keep sliding and the prediction is that something far heavier and more dangerous is in your slide path. Not so bad if it's a hay bale. Not so good if it's a low boy hauling a combine.

Pretty sure he was kidding.
A dog pile isn't needed here.
