Scorpio VI,

Me too! I asked him about it one time; he said it was the lowest point from which it could fall/smallest damage. Didn't like setting it on the ground for obvious reasons. Followed by comment about someone walking by and kicking it accidently....

I have never met you, Martin..but I consider you a friend, a brother, a fellow rider.

You will be missed..

My condolences to his family, friends and loved ones..may God be with you in
your time of suffering...

Everyone, please be careful out there...life is fragile, and can at times end
so quickly..remember those at home that love you as you enjoy our risky
lifestyle...

RIP Martin...

I rode with Martin on every BARF ride I've had, i can't remember a single one on which I didnt ride with him. We use to come up to San Jose from Gilroy to meet our close riding group at Starbucks, since he parked his bike at his parents place in Gilroy and I lived 5 minutes away from their house.

He would always give me good pointers and positive reinforcements on my riding habits. He would always slow down for me if I get behind too far to make sure I'm okay. And most of all, it was always a blast hanging out with him. He truly was a down-to-earth and humble guy.

I rode with him last Sunday in Holister at Hwy 25-198 and we enjoyed the ride so much that we decided to go again with our close riding group....which was suppose to be yesterday. I still cannot believe he's not with us even after visiting his crash site yesterday....this only feels unreal.

Rest in peace my friend....I will always miss you.

-Imran

My condolences to all for the loss of Martin, whom I never met but share a common bond with - which I like to think stretches beyond life itself and touches the soul. RIP.

R.I.P. Even tho i never met him, he sounds like a really cool guy to meet on a ride. I'm saddened by the loss of a barfer....anyone planning to make a barf armband for his rememberance? i'd like to wear one while riding to show my support and condolences for a fallen barfer and his family.
