Very sad news. I had done a couple of tours with him and always enjoyed riding with Bill and talking with him. I was just telling my wife a story about him last weekend. A great guy. He will be missed.

I never post on BARF, but was directed to this thread by a friend from Sport-Touring.net.

I have many wonderful memories of riding with Bill all throughout northern California. He was patient and kind as I dragged him through all the touristy tree shit places along Avenue of the Giants in 2004. He was my photography partner on a big group ride in 2003 where we were consistently an hour behind the group as we would stop together for photo after photo.

I thought of Bill often even after we lost touch over the past couple of years.

RIP, Bill. I hope your roads are twisty and your beer is cold.
