Cool Looking for my first moto...$$$$

Hey there fellow barfer's,

I'm looking to buy a good starter bike with LOW MILES around 600cc, I currently have $4K to invest. My choice of moto would be a Honda 600rr, R6, Gsxr, or a Daytona 675. I'm also looking to find the seller local near Hayward or San Francisco. Almost forgot nothing older then 2001.

Reply to my posting with what you have.

Thanks for looking. :co

NO LONGER NEED A BIKE. I just bought a 04 600rr with 9195 miles.

I have done my homework and don't need advice. That's just what I want to purchase.

Thanks for your input.

Either you didn't do your homework, or you did it and received D (not an F because your not spouting the need for a 1k)

All bad choices to start on

Show me your bike for sale. If you don't have a bike for sale your comments are not welcome here.

My F4i wil be for sale in August, also not a great choice to start with, but better, but still wouldn't sell it to a newbie.

Secondly, if you don't like comments, don't post on a comment board.

I don't mine the comments if you got a bike to sell me. I have been driving my friends 04 600RR, and don't have any problems handling a 600cc.
As of now I have $5.5K for my moto hobby, but was looking for a cheaper bike to start with.

Guy with no helmet on: "I have been riding without a helmet and haven't died, therefore riding without a helmet won't kill me ever"

Second guy with no helmet on: "I've never met anyone who told me they hadn't survived an accident without a helmet"

See the flawed logic? See how no helmet is interchangable with your friends 600rr?

"Looking for first car.... $$$... Looking to get a Ferrari F50 or McLaren F1 ...

Get something you dont care about as much that is a bit smaller, maybe an old SV650. Then in a few months get that I4 you want or maybe you'll realize you want something else.

I loved my R6 but it definetly made me realize its not the bike for me, fun, but I could have more fun and thats what the buell is for me. How often do you plan to go over 100mph? 120mph? If the answer is not often to both I'd look for something else...

True, understand.
That's why I didn't want to spend all my money a new bike. I have all my riding gear: scorpion 1000 helmet, two riding jackets joe rocket and a frank thomas, gloves, icon vest, and some alpinestar riding boots.

think your legs are not going to hit the ground?

The point is the bike will compisante for your natural deficiencies and as a result, you will not learn the skills you would learn by being on a bike which doesn't compinsate for you

Just not falling doesn't qualify as learning to ride or being a good rider

Just really... think hard... EVERYBODY buys a jap bike... Do you need it though?

Lots of people do, on the street the answers no you dont but a lot of people DO use the power, maybe not in the mountains but on the freeway anybody can open it up... If thats going to be you then by all means start on an I4... Might as well seal your doom now...

There are TONS of other bikes out there to look into, I rushed into getting a super sport because I fell in love with the looks but I am glad I did, I had a lot of fun on that bike but I never once used it to even 3/4 of its power potential and never even 1/4 of its potential in the twisties... It wasnt to much bike to handle, but it was just unnecessary power...
