While I really like the 1200 GS I have decided to hold off for now. Since my current situation does not allow me to have two bikes, I have decided to hang on to the SuperDuke for a bit longer (maybe a lot longer). The current plan is to keep tucking money away until I can pick up a nice used GS. It's good to want, right? Thank you all for the info and such. You've not seen the last of me and my desire for a GS....

If you change your mind I have an 05 1200 GS I just inherited from my dad when he passed away earlier this year. It only has 4000 miles on it. In 06 he moved up to Reno and just didn't ride it much once he moved. I'm going to be looking at ways to sell it soon (need the money for an upcoming wedding). It has both soft and hard saddle bags too. PM me if still interested.

Edit: Here's a pic I had on my cell phone of it when I got it home.

Nice bike! If you haven't, post it over on advrider.com. You should sell it in no time.

Sorry to hear about your father. Have you considered keeping the GS and selling your Vstrom? Just a thought. I am probably going to buy a GS, but I am going to have to wait a year or so at this point. As such, I may as well wait until the water cooled version comes out. At that point, I can decide whether or not to buy a (hopefully) reduced price oilhead, or get a new water cooled version.

As others have said, you will have no trouble selling your bike on advrider.

Cheers,
Aaron

I'd like to get $12,000 for it. It blue books at $10,000 but it has super low miles and bags. I'm open to offers though.
