Point me in the right direction please! I have no clue as to what makes for a good starter bike. I have ridden a dirtbike like three times and thats the extent of my motorcycle experience.

Try a ninja 250, several listed in the clasified area. That is a good starter bike, and also take class to learn some life saving basics.

Heya i'm also lookin for a good used starter bike. I've never ridden before and I've been lookin at Ninja 250, 500 and FZR 600s. Any other good suggestions? I have a limited budget (meaning under 2500). Any suggestions for other starter bikes to consider?

Re: What about this one?

Hey if you guys want to buy that salvaged suzuki, i'll trade you my ex500, the perfect bike to start on. I've never riden a bike until i hopped on the EX so it goes to show you what a great learning bike this is. Enough power to have fun, but not too much as to where you get whipped back when accidentally twist your wrist.

It has the basic droppage signs on it, but thats all from previous owners, and runs like a top! New backtire and soon to be new chain this week. Carbs were cleaned only a month ago.

89 CBR600 Hurricane...that's a good starter bike and looks very nice, too.
