The increase in the fees by itself might not be the big deal but when it's piled on to so many other things it becomes the straw.

It also has to do IMHO with value. While high costs don't appeal to many people if you see a value for the expense then ok, at least you're getting something out of it. The way it is, coupled with other costs it can seem as if you're just renting your bikes because after some years with a used bike, buying it was the least cost. Then, because it comes around every year and every year the roads are worse, the restrictions tougher justifying the fees is almost impossible.

The path of least resistance is putting fees on something almost everyone does or uses. It generates the most revenue and there is the added benefit higher penalties of those that don't comply.

There really isn't much that can be done about it without serious activism and that is unlikely to happen. For every person that complains about the fees there are those who explain them away or figure it's the price we have to pay for the nice weather.

How many people are going to move out or work around the fees? A few but I doubt anyone is moving out of state only because the fees are high, there must be other primary factors and this is just one peripheral reason. You can move some place else but then chances are you can't ride a good part of the year so there is that too.

I agree Budman, should just shut it down because Jerry is gone.
Not much one can gripe about except who thinks whos side is right in paying increased taxes on everything that used to be holy and sacred.

Its all political now so might as well throw it in to the F-Trump forum or just close it all together.

All Whammy wants to do is ride.
