Rabat, 72 f-ing laps, still slow. :P

Redding, 71 laps... yeah still not there, but that's a bit of practice.

What did the -36* mean on Mika's bike? Is that for fun or does it mean test rider?

Lowes and Rabat are busts. Lowes has already tested the RS-GP previously and is still slower than Folger, Zarco, and Rabat. Folger and Zarco making Rabat look terrible too on their first outing despite Rabat's 70+ laps. Only reason he is getting a second year is the respect for his Moto2 title.

EDIT: To be fair though, that is a really thin spread on times. What a competitive field! Miller making some serious gains, only .5 off and look at the names above him. Hopefully we see MarcVDS get that bike dialed in next season, would love to see him consistently mixing it up with the "top" satellite bikes.

Jorge kicks open the door to the Ducati garage, jumps on a bike and instantly goes faster than Dovi who's been racing it for years?

Good riddance to winglets. KTM = terlit paper... wiping up the rear. Aprilia and KTM should get a chance at a 50 shot of NAWS each race. However, only one gets it and the winner will be determined by a 1 round, 3 minute fist fight between random mechanics from each team.

I think Maverick is proving he's a potential Alien. The true test will be Podiums and Wins in 2017, but the dude looks to be immediately fast on the M1.

Predictions:

Iannone is going to bag quite a few podiums this year but runs the risk of an injury set back.

Aprilia is not going anywhere as Aleix chronically suffers from grip problems no matter what bike he rides and Lowes will just be crashing his brains out.

Zarco is going to surprise some people and Hector will probably outscore Dovi for most of the season. Redding and Rabat are done in GP after this year.

Rins will be just another upgraded Rabat but not the talent they are looking for.

Rabat should be done. Dude comes in as a champ and doesn't do anything impactful. Even Jackass pulled out a win is some pretty difficult conditions.

Nukes launched!

I don't enjoy the smell or sound of two-stroke. (dons body armor and riot shield)

I'm interested to see him on the Zook and where he can place that bike.

It just hit me that Suzuki could've had a 2-time, back to back, Moto2 World Champion on their bike instead of Rins who choked in every title fight in GP. Ageism factor in GP.

I hope Ducati or another factory picks Zarco up in the future, the Tech3 bikes' support is just not enough these days with the field so strong. You can't just run last year's bike for a WHOLE year with zero upgrades and expect top finishes, not with 6 factories in the sport with "factory" backed satellites. Plus Tech3 lacks the tech support that HRC and Ducati provide to some of their satellite riders.
