Just picked this up on Saturday and went to a trackday on Sunday. Hoping to find some time to zero it this weekend.

Came with 2 10/30 mags, raddlocked, and measured in at 30-1/8" OAL. It's barely legal like a chick fresh out of high school.

Even with the mag locked, doesn't the vertical foregrip add one more "evil" feature?

A shotgun can't hit a steel plate at 600 yards, nor burn through body armor.

just wanted to make sure-this site says there is a difference in fitment and refers to the receiver threads being cut for one or the other

http://www.ar15fornoobs.com/mil-spec...c-buffer-tubes

" And make sure to get a buffer tube that will work with your Lower Receiver. I did read that you can use a commercial buffer tube in a receiver made to Mil-Spec… but the threading grip may not be as tight and could fail. If the Lower I choose is cut to Mil-Spec, I will definitely make sure my buffer tube and stock are as well."

So what do you guys recommend? Is everyone going commercial for price difference or milspec?

I was laughing at Top Shot last night. That guy that couldn't hit a 12" target at 100 yards with the '03 Springfield had me laughing. A fucking Marine too, how embarrassing. And then his teammate just had to chime in with, "He's laying down fire like he's in Fallujah!" and I just about died laughing.

It's up on Hulu now: http://www.hulu.com/top-shot

I really wonder if something came loose on the Springfield. Mike could make that shot with a pistol with fewer rounds fired. Here he is making the same shot with much more wind, including standing, with a Springfield.

I hope the show does something wild like a trebuchet, mortar, or artillery. Actually, indirect fire with high explosive shells is out of the question where they filmed. But a trebuchet, hell yeah!

Yea I was wondering that too. I used to have an M1A with a loose front sight and I couldn't zero that thing for shit until I figured out what was wrong with it. Just about the same symptoms, all over the place.

Still, the guy talked such a big game, dueling with the best rifleman on the team. His ego got in the way.

It comes in that configuration.

Anybody know of an outdoor (100+) range out in the Vacaville area? Gonna be out there this weekend for my niece's graduation from UC Davis and she wants to go shooting.

Yeah, I don't think he was expecting Kelly to be that good during the heads-up.

It definitely came off as survivor-style trash TV, but I'm tuning in to watch. I just want to know if Iain will continue to pick Tara as his spotter. There's a zoom knob to zoom out and find a reference...
