Do you mean actual firings or laid off?

I've only fired two people, the rest were business decisions in the form of x% staff reduction. Even then, I'd only hire about half of them back.

Had my brief interview over the phone with a dude who doesn't speak inglés.
So he had a barely English speaking coworker translate. They had just a few questions to see if i was familiar with certain software. I'm am familiar with some and not with others. Dude said I may be hearing from HR.

No biggie either way. The gig pays less than my current and will likely be longer hours. Problem is I'm kinda bored at the current gig but I pretty much come and go as I please now and that might not be the case with these Spaniards.
I've worked for this Spanish company before way back in the day which interviewer thought was interesting.

Software? As in Apple software?

Sounds like you need a change in scenery ... Can't you create some excitement after work hours to overcompensate for the boredom in your 9-to-5?

I'd settle for stability right now

Don't you think having worked for the company before puts you in the favorite pile?

Anyways hope you get an offer so that you can negotiate the salary and see where that takes you
