Excellent! There's something about taking inappropriate machinery into inappropriate places that just makes me giggle

I can't add light bars, because Lucas wiring. Otherwise I would be tempted.

Finding lockers for the Salisbury differentials has become quite a task.

No, but it's close. We trailered the 610's down there to do some riding, but we drove up to Bald Mt the next morning to catch the sunrise. That whole area has so much to offer...it's right near the Dusy Ershim Trail!

My buddy has a present addiction to FCs. Much like everything else built by Willys/Kaiser/AMC/Jeep/etc., they're rustmagnets. And they've gotten stupid trendy over the last few years. I've been trying to talk him into profit taking and let them go....

I have a 1946 CJ2A hanging out if anyone has urges towards such a vehicle. Bought it right before the Rover.

I hear you!

I know where an FC is at here in the south bay. I won't go over there because I'm afraid it'll actually be for sale at a reasonable price... And THEN it'll cost me big money! Lol

But for the record... An FC with my CRD Jeep drivetrain (mercedes OM642+722.6+NP241) portal axles and a vintage look camper would be great fun!

I have to ask and please don't take it as a dig at your craftsmanship, but how much shifting and rattling do you get from your setup when you're ripping the trails?

Actually, almost none. If I remember to secure all the loose shit in the cab. My two biggest rattles came from the seatbelt buckles in the rear seats banging against the pillars, velcro fixed that.

This past weekend at Usal I was getting a squeaking, I think from my passenger-side leaf, every time the truck rolled counterclockwise, but thatís it.

Damn, nice rig Alan! really like that grill.

What did you do to upgrade the suspension? How much of a lift is that you got?

Nothing yet. I bought the truck with 10,000 miles in it (it was a repo job) with a spacer lift, and wheels/tires already installed. I'm still shopping for suspension components, but the only thing I got so far is a separate set of OEM leafs with an Icon AAL already installed. Still debating between Icon/King/Fox/OME so I'm still just kinda waiting for a deal to fall in my lap in that regards.

I'm gonna pull the trigger soon on a Southern-Style Off-Road Slimline Hybrid bumper and a winch and that will pretty much complete the truck so I can focus on the suspension.
