Fred lives in the burbs too, but I doubt very much he's got enough driveway for that much truck and street parking around where we live is just stupid and a PITA. It's pretty clear no Raptor will fit in a normal garage so it really depends on how much driveway you've got. However, it still doesn't change the fact that it won't fit in most parking garages around here.

Parking isn’t an issue in my neighborhood and I already have a similar size F150. It isn’t lifted though.

I park my truck in the street even though an F150 also fits in the driveway.

My driveway is too short for a full-size truck...or my Ranger.

Thankfully my crew-cab Ranger 4X4 fits in the garage, though...but just barely.

Most likely I’ll be waiting until at least February to buy.

Gives me plenty of time to look around.

Correction added. You can never have too much garage!

I would also have to figure out where to get this type of truck serviced. Certainly not going to take one to the quick lube.

Is there an independent mechanic in the area that specializes in either off road trucks or SVT Fords?

Calm down it’s not a Ford GT. That said I wouldn’t take anything to a Jiffy Lube Type place. Just take it to where you would take any new F-150.

What's so special about the Raptor? Doesn't that motor come on other trims of the F-150 like the Lariat? I thought the only major difference was the brodozer suspension and different bodywork

For the first gen, I don’t think they put the 6.2 in other trucks. If they did, it doesn’t seem to be common.

I think some of the Lariat and all the Harley Davidson ones had that motor. They aren't too common and I'm sure it's turned differently. F-150 has too many trims, can't keep up.

I do think it's probably the best looking stock truck. My neighbor has a blue one. Looks great for a truck.

The 6.2L is the gas option for 2011+ Super Duty trucks, and some of the F-150 trim options.

The suspension on its pretty epic. You can drive straight over a square curb at 30mph and never feel a thing, which is excellent for washboard roads. My Z71 Silverado of the same year with aftermarket Fox suspension doesn’t come even close.

I drove a buddy’s first gen Rapter and it’s pretty fun. That big engine tickles the soul much more than the little turbo unit.
