$5,000 fine for refusing to sign the vaccination status form. Required by end of week. (oh, and they're using a 3rd party data collection service requiring DOB and SS)

Full vaccination a condition of future employment. You have until end of June to comply.

I'm not claiming they're trying to hide anything, but it's incorrect/misleading to truncate any scale in this way since it creates an inaccurate visual as to the differences between data points (in this case states).

I see this in graphs, and generally most people can catch that as representationally incorrect, but many don't realize visuals like this are actually the same error.

In the FAQs, the County justifies this assessment requirement on the grounds that some workplace rules differ depending on a worker’s vaccination status and businesses need to know worker vaccination status so they can follow the rules and keep their workers, customers and community safe. The FAQs also state that any business that fails to ask about and record the vaccination status of its workers is subject to enforcement and may be required to pay fines of up to $5,000 per violation per day.

One intriguing aspect of HIPAA is that apparently it does not apply to employers and they are not obligated to to keep your health information secret, but HIPAA was often cited as a reason why employer's could not share specifically who at the office had been infected.

Not that it's the right thing to do, but why wouldn't they just post a list of employees who are not vaccinated or refused to state, or the county do that for it's residents?

Ok, so the existing exceptions have not changed, including these:

The FAQs clarify that employers must treat vaccination status like other private medical information received from employees, and that employees may choose to decline to provide their vaccination status. Businesses are instructed to assume that those who decline to provide their vaccination status are unvaccinated (and thus must continue to obtain updated vaccination status from those individuals every 14 days).

and

"The directive also reinforces pre-existing requirements, such as requiring unvaccinated on-site workers to wear face coverings and following applicable guidance regarding excluding such personnel from the workplace if they are a “close contact” to a confirmed COVID-19 case or are confirmed to have COVID-19."

I wonder if this is why Carlson has such a hard-on for turning his followers into anti-vaxers?

Influencers say they were offered money to discredit the Pfizer vaccine. In France, some suspect Russia is behind it.

So this is a reporting requirement of the businesses. It's not a requirement to be vaccinated.

I wonder if those who reveal that they are not vaccinated have to do a 14 day update vs those that simply choose to not reveal.

I imagine the 14 day reporting requirement would apply to both groups.

I would too.

This is the annoyance thing to motivate you to get vaccinated.

or, it's simply that people who are vaccinated are significantly lower risk so there's no need to keep checking.

At this point, people choosing to not get vaccinated are a sign that natural selection is finding another way to thin the herd of unfit specimens.

So 71% in Sonoma County have had at least one shot and another 6% had Covid so essentially at 77% of the population has minimal chance of a severe Covid infection.

Most of the Bay Area is at least as good.

Haven't gone to indoor dining or any indoor event but plenty of outdoor family/friend events with no masks/distancing.

Weekly bicycling through the pandemic was a huge piece of the "normal" puzzle for me.
