Sip MP-2P jib bore?

Do any of the machinists on the board have access to a SIP MP-2P jig borer?

Mike95060: Please post relevant and serious information only

Ours has sat for over two years and our recently fired maintenance maniac decided to relocate it and never leveled it.

Everything was pretty gummed up the quill wouldn't move, but I worked on it for a while with generous lube and freed it up. Thankfully it is chrome plated.

My issue is the spindle head is not moving, it is locked solid. The ways are ground and hand-scraped cast iron. My fear is that there is rust on the ways. I have been pumping DTE-10 in the lube nipples hoping it will break free.

All I can think of is that with it not being level (x is not too bad, y is out by a fair amount, there is some bias going on between the head and column. I doubt this is it, but I need to work on leveling it. There is one lock clamp for the head which is free and not binding.

How's everything with you? The wife and I still come over every 3 or 4 weeks to ride the bluffs or Engelsman's Loop in Wilder Ranch. Both are beautiful rides.....
