I was checking some intrnational weather locations.
Doesn't sound like a lot of outdoor fun in that town.

I've been saying it for years. The only way to end terrorism is to build theme parks, golf courses, casinos and strip clubs in that part of the world..!

Yeah, and how hot is it inside a set of fatigues with about 80 pounds of PPE and a backpack on?
Reason number three that I will never be military.

Haha, yeah.

Reason one: combat (with the sub-reasons of bullets and bombs going in BOTH directions)
Reason two: psychologically anti-authoritarian
Reason three: THE DESERT IS FUCKING HOT AS HELL

(All that being said, I seriously considered being a nurse on a hospital ship, but reason four (reactive hypoglycemia) precluded that).

There are 4.2 branches of the Military (0.2 = Coast Guard ), if one wanted to serve and not get shot or march in the desert, there are options.

for clarification, its never been 140 anywhere. the hottest temp ever recorded on earth was 136 in libya.

ive no doubt it was really fucking hit, and fucking brutal with gear on actually trying to get a job done, but 140 is straight up crazy lol

118 in bahgdad is insanity
