Because it does not have actual Zombies. There are no reanimated corpses, so the fundamental challenge of facing human mortality as a threat is not as obvious.

I think the nature of the pandemic in those pictures does allow it to reside in that genre though.

I am Legend, World War Z, Zombieland and Zombieland 2. The last two are kind of campy but worth watching.

If the zombie apocalypse ever happens I really don't want them to be World War Z type......
