Adding those is like getting a new bike. My dizzer stands stock for now, and I could not believe the difference when I rode someones bike with those mods. Made me not even want to ride my bike for a while. Not sure I want to drop that kind of money on it though.

The mountains are not as impressive as in the last pic, but this pic is from western North Carolina last month. The good thing is there is a very tight, switch back road leading up to it and it's only about 10 miles from my house

2005 SMR525, pretty stock with a power bomb header and yoshi slip on. It is absolutely a blast on back roads. In back is my friends WR450, also pretty stock besides the sumo conversion.

This is one of the turns on the same road about a week ago with another friend on his DRZ400sm.

I just noticed this thread, so here's mine...

Bought the SXV550 from a fellow BARF'r about a year ago. It has some nice bits including an Akra pipe, VDB swingarm (not that I would notice the difference). It ran horrible when I got it, but I replaced the special slotted throttle linkage with a stock link followed by a trip to Amauri for a re-map, now runs like a dream.

The bike behind is a RXV450... because you gotta have one of each

Decent, although much more laid back than Sonoma - in some ways good, in others not so good. The bus stop on the straight wasn't coned either way at first, so it wasn't clear what they wanted us doing.

No power for warmers either, which is one thing I really like about the Sears Point kart track.

I need to get my YZ back together and try Dixon too.

Before buying either bike, I read a magazine review that praised the RXV450 for dirt use and the SXV550 for street use... so that became the goal.

Yep, VDB swingarm is roughly an inch shorter. I guess Thierry didn't think the race bikes wheelied easily enough with the stock length
