Ohlins FG43 fork cap

Looking for the spring adjuster that threads thru the fork cap on my Ohlins 832 series forks for RC51. Would consider purchase of damaged forks with good fork cap if seller doesnít want to separate the part.

Damn, these things must be rare as chicken lips. Anyone know if there’s a salvage yard network for mc’s?

Have you tried calling Ohlins USA to see if they might have something kicking around? (828) 692-4525

Haven’t contacted Ohlins but Kyle is supposed to be their biggest dealer in the US so would expect them to know availability. I did contact Mike at Kyle and he says no longer available. This earlier R&T fork has a blue 24mm hex with the preload adjuster threaded thru it. It uses a 24mm blue lock nut on that part. Later ones used the lower blue hex as the adjuster. The adjuster has a 12mm hex to set the preload. I had rounded off the corners slightly when I thought I had the lock nut loose. Was still able to turn it but recently took fork apart for the valve upgrade and that process made it much worse. I can still turn it but can’t abide the appearance. The rest of the bike is damn near perfect & has all the need upgrades to get it roughly 60 lbs lighter. I’ll have to see if BLS wants to attempt making one if I can’t find a replacement.

Reason I asked you what it looks like. I could probably make you that part if you cant find it anywhere.

TWF, that would be awesome! I have to take them apart again as I need to change springs so I can remove the part for measuring and reference.
