YOLO county ohv meeting 2/21

Come and attend an informational session discussing County OHV efforts to date. The meeting will be held on Thursday February 21, 6pm-7pm at the County Administration Building’s Atrium Training Room (625 Court Street, Woodland).

Believe this is a meeting about a proposed ohv park to be opened in the county. Just received this email.

Good afternoon:

As you may know, the Yolo County Parks Division and County Administrator’s Office are working together to apply for a grant to study the feasibility of an Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) park in Yolo County. We are pleased to announce that we submitted a preliminary planning grant to the California State Parks OHV Grants and Cooperative Agreements Program on March 4, 2019. Based on the feedback received at multiple public meetings and from online survey results, the County focused its application on two objectives. First, the County is seeking grant funding to prepare a market analysis to ascertain if there is enough community and stakeholder support for OHV opportunities in Yolo County. Second, assuming there is demand and support for OHV opportunities, the County will prepare a feasibility study to examine two different scenarios: (1) improving access to existing OHV trail riding opportunities within the unincorporated County; and (2) creating a small-medium sized OHV park in the unincorporated County.

NEXT STEPS: Public Review Process

The County’s preliminary application is available on the State’s Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation (OHMVR) Division website for public review and comments. The County encourages public comments and feedback on our grant application. Comments must be received no later than 5:00pm (PST) on Monday, May 6, 2019. All comments must be submitted via the OHMVR website (see link below) or mailed to the OHMVR Division. Comments received during the public review period will be addressed in the final application submission. The County will submit the final application by June 3, 2019 after all public comments have been addressed.

CLICK HERE to be directed to the State Parks OHMVR Division for instructions on how to view and comment on the preliminary application. More information on the grant process can be found here.

I'll try to put a linky up for this too.
Anyone live near Woodland? Go see Jeff Andersona and ask how we can help. Or call. In person way rocks though.
Hodaka Ace 90. I've been riding these things too long. What can I say? How about that Combat Wombat?
