Looking for laptop w/ serial port

Looking for a garage laptop to attempt to install factory software on my 1999 bmw. Shouldn't need to be fancy, hoping to not spend a lot. Please PM, I'm likely to forget to check back here 😄

The serial to USB adapters don't always work. I have an old laptop at work because it has a serial port. You're welcome to borrow it but it's in Novato.

Looking for something to keep. And yes, there's multiple old programs involved, don't want to add a questionable adapter to the mix if it doesn't work correctly.

I was issued a Dell “rugged” laptop a couple years ago after I requested one with a native serial port. Those USB to serial devices were always problematic at the most inopportune times.
Looks like still available, but have to spec it out:

The only port I see in the pic looks like VGA to me.
Serial is 9 pin, like so:

I used a USB to Serial adapter on my E39 with the pacman connector. Worked great.
