Want empty/expired welding tanks

edited, don't need single use helium tanks anymore thanks to awesome barfers.

If you have a welding cylinder though I'd love to take it off your hands. Expired or otherwise unusable because I plan to make a bell out of it.

PM if you have something please

Call Alliance Welding Supply in Oakland. I'm sure they would give you a scrap cylinder.

My helium tank is going to be my portable air tank. Sorry...

Would diving tanks work for your bell?

Yea, I was going to suggest calling a few dive shops and asking if they have any tanks that failed specification. Not sure if they will be cooperative, unless they have a way to disable those tanks before they sell/give it to you.

Cylinder Bell

If youĎd asked two weeks ago I could have given you 3-4 empty one time use bottles and an empty reusable cylinder, but weíre done going through and cleaning the yard and donít have anymore. Some one madea small kiln type thing with a disposable and a couple of us made some bells.

The wife doesnít like it, so Iím still looking for a good spot. I was gonna hang somekind of paddle on it to catch the wind and try to make it wind operated.

Doesn't the valve of a propane tank unscrew? Can't you just, you know, unscrew the valve and remove it? Then you can, at a minimum, just fill it with water (that'll evacuate everything).

Yes, but when they're "empty" they're still ~1\3 full because of a valve that prevents them from completely emptying. Residual fumes... eh. I am more averse to selfimmolation as I age

Take a look at my old post, here: http://www.bayarearidersforum.com/fo...d.php?t=531074

If you take everything in the post I can drop the price down to zero if my family member approves. I am tired of looking at it on the side of my house.

I have a tank in my attic, one of the single use helium deals. I’m located in newark if still needed.
