I think you also need the barrel bushing and possibly some sort of magazine spacer.

Owning a TT is definitely in my future plans.

I have a parts kit so I'll bore/ream the hole in the bushing.

Some people say the magazines work fine, others disagree.

I have a parts kit so I'll be boring/reaming the barrel bushing from that (and using it in the parts kit slide). Any recommendations for clearance?

Quick tip.
Vacuum sealer and sous-vide machine do wonders for cosmoline.
I'm going to clean all my Surplus mags like this.

I ran into a Browning Buckmark Contour 22lr target pistol for a great price, and just couldn't pass it up. It should be a nice way to work on trigger control, breathing, and sight picture without having to burn through 45 acp and 357 Magnum ammunition 🙂 The gun kind of reminds me of a mini Desert Eagle lol!

22s are just a lot of fun too!

He also has a Glock 34 with a mounted Leupold Deltapoint Pro that felt very good in the hand that I might also buy from him. It was surprisingly light for a long slide target/competition pistol.

Anyone have thoughts on the Glock 34? I've never owned a Glock. I'm not particulary fond of them, but the deal is very good.

Do you prefer medium-rare or well-done magazines?

Anyone know if these mags would fit an AK? I added the bolt/ramp thing to my Saiga 7.62x39 to run AK mags.

These mags at the link are $2.99 reg $10 and say they are for a Pap single stack AK.

Why not just call the gun shop and ask them?

I wouldn't expect a single stack AK mag to work in a double stack AK.

Highly unlikely that it would work.

I don't know how many in the thread love shooting 22lr like I do, but just about everyone knows dry firing a rimfire is a huge no-no and can not only break/damage the firing pin, but damages the breech face.

It always gives me pause to shell out 15 bucks just for 22 snap caps that just get mangled with repeated use (unlike centerfire snap caps), but I ran into this on reddit, and it works great! And I already had the right sized wall anchors in my toolbox lol! Just sharing...

Glock 34 Gen 3 vs Springfield Armory XD9 Tactical

Just wondering if anyone has something to add to this gun vs gun. Anecdotes, advice, insights etc. I realize the XD9 is made in Croatia, and started life as a gun that people thought was a joke, years ago, but since being imported by SA, its been refined and I've read many articles/posts/reviews that praise certain aspects of it even over the Glock. The Glock is proven and I believe needs less justification. The XD9 is about $120 less, which isn't insignificant, and comes with 4 stainless mags, a magloader, and tac holster. It has a grip safety (which people count as a plus) but I see that as a minus and one more thing that might fail. How many safeties do you need?

Both have 5" barrels. The XD is heavier, but I don't see that as a minus.

It would be an easier decision if not for the fact that I've tested both side by side and shoot equally well (or badly ) with both. The glock grip and angle feels odd, but felt recoil is less, and the XD grip is more comfortable, but has more barrel flip.

Anything to add as far as your own experience or info would be appreciated!
