Good choice, I hope you enjoy it. I have the same with the parkerized barrel. Mine wouldn't shoot worth a damn with the original (very pretty) stock, so I bought a few military wood stocks (from Ed's M14 Stocks, now TreelineM14.com) and it now shoots much better.

I've been told there needs to be tension at the forehand between the stock and front of the handguard. Mine had none, now it does. If you are interested in a military walnut stock I have two.

Enjoy!

M1 Garand for sale, pics $1050.00, CMP provenance

https://photos.app.goo.gl/GurknLvqmLiGJCt17I took these indoors with the sun setting, it was a busy day. I can post more tomorrow in bright sunlight if requested. At the very least, this will be sold with some en blocs.

Note it has a SA receiver, barrel (which appear to be period-correct) and trigger housing, a WRA bolt and WRA safety. Typical post-war (Korean) rebuild, therefore a mix-master.

If either gentlemen who have expressed interest in this want to discuss, send a p.m. please.

404 error, mang.

FWIW, in combat, almost all Garands became mixmasters just due to combat damage to the weapons. So an absolutely pristine Garand likely never saw combat.

Yeah, I know most went through rebuilds, sometimes multiple rebuilds.

Are the pics visible now?

I was able to see them using another computer, hopefully my ID 10 T error is fixed.

Please let me know if you find what it likes ammo-wise. Mine's finicky; it doesn't seem to like lighter bullets, at least no ZQI but does like 168 Gr Federal 168 grain Match Kings.

If you ever come across a Taurus Raging Hornet, PM me.
It's a bucket list revolver.

With a 1:11 twist, 168gr is your friend.
150gr is all over the place with my Savage 11VT, 168 is MOA without even trying hard.
I bought five different manufacturers of factory match rounds, I'll let you know how they fare.
