Get 100 ready to buy motorcyclists and ask them what they want in an electric and at what price they actually buy.

Build that and sell thousands.

Sit around in a bubble getting feedback from some selection committee and think because you ride you know what everyone else wants and build that, sell 3.

Or; use investor money, make what you please and polish your exit strategy knowing you'll have a kick-ass one-off.

I am sure they aren't making $5,000 bikes with a 300 mile range because they are too dumb and isolated to think anyone wants one.

Maybe they should start selling unicorns as well, I hear the market is strong for those.

That effort failed:

"Unfortunately, we’ve run out of time.

The relevant assets necessary to support the Redshift platform have been sold to another buyer. I don’t have all the details. Philip’s suggested embargo on bikes no longer has an impact on a potential v2.0 effort. A reboot appears to be impossible at this point. Always possible something will change with time.

We had the right couple ideas 1-3 months too late. Personally, I regret abstaining from this community until just recently. That’s on me.

All the best to each of you."

Exciting to think what Bombardier might do with that tech, though.

Yes, but if he wants an electric snowmobile, there is hope.

Better luck then ever, actually. My coworker's roommate is selling his for only $6.6k

Just don't break anything...

That's what scares me … something breaks and I have to go hunt parts that don't exist.

Sucks. RIP Alta.

I'd also be interested in one but without any support whatsoever, outside from community support, there is very little that can be done in regards to critical issues like battery pack and electronics repairs. The price would have to be a lot lower than $6.6K to interest me.

Hope ya'll enjoy the new electric Seadoo.

No, but if he doesn’t move quickly he will be. I bought a second one precisely for this reason.

They need to change their business model to make smaller bikes for the markets in China and other 3rd worlds. Compete with the 150cc bikes.

Then make a luxury model that is the Alta Redshift or w/e. Building a company like that for a small market is bound to be doomed compared to one looking at the larger scale.
